Dear Southern New England Chowhounds:
I and a good friend/restauranteur (owner of Oak Street Burgers and Breakfast in Westerly RI) would like to put out the feelers to the Chow community to see if there could be any interest in a special offal evening feast.
This would be a ticketed event in the range of $30-$50/head and would feature both gourmet preparations of offal meats as well as the peasant-rooted delicacies born of the necessity to use the entire animal - not just the prime cuts.
If this event is to take place, it will be a Thursday evening in mid-late spring and we will certainly take requests for specialties here on CHOWHOUND.
This is will be an organic, grass roots approach to eating well, eating local and supoporting small, outsider the box endeavors to improve and expand the overall eating experience of Southern New Englanders.
Seating will be limited to only 40 or so participants so please respond with your interest.
