As a nursing mother, I am trying to consume lots of oatmeal, which increases milk production. There are only so many Oatmeal cookies a gal can eat and it's getting too warm for a nice steamy bowl of oatmeal. I am eating an oat-based cereal (Honey Nut Cheerios or Shredded Spoonfuls), and snack on granola bars.
I have put oatmeal in meatloaf, eat Oatmeal bread, plan to use it for a crumb coating on chicken, and have ground up rolled oats and added the powder to smoothies. quakeroats.com has a bunch of recipes I am planning on trying as well. But I figured I'd throw this out to the Chowhounds out there- any killer oatmeal recipes you know of? And any other ways to sneak oatmeal into food that I haven't already mentioned?
