Nyon olives and other ingredients for French cooking

wifeofnick | Jan 7, 201811:50 AM     1

I was gifted Patricia Wells' "At Home in Provence" cookbook this Christmas, and in looking through the recipes, I've gathered that I'm going to be needing some good quality black olives. Most of the olive-containing recipes recommend Nyons.

I just lost my source of dry cured Kalamatas (TJ's discontinued them, and I still haven't gotten over it), and I would really love to cook with Nyons since they are also a dry cured olive. Are they typically available at a supermarket, either on the shelf or in an olive bar? Or is there an online source where I could get them? I would especially love to find an online source that I can also use for the other specialty French ingredients I'll be working with.
