Gee...I'm almost hesitant to review this restaurant after my unpopular review of Babbo below. But, here goes.
In a few words - we loved this restaurant! We ate a late lunch there on a Friday (about 1:30) but the place was absolutely busy and buzzing and exciting. The service was excellent, the wait staff pleasant and involved. I ordered the caramelized onion goat cheese tart as an appetizer - really delicious! My husband ordered the chicken liver pate with foie gras (we do like some "variety" meats) which was outstanding. Hubby had the steak frites and I had the moule frites...both the steak and mussels were delicious. The steak was done just right. Just loved the broth for the mussels and they were perfectly steamed! And the fries were top notch (not to mention the wonderful mayonnaise for dipping.) We drank Stella Artois. Topped off with a terrific tarte tatin and a blueberry & plum frangipane - probably the first of the local blueberry crop. The meal and the ambience was a perfect brasserie experience. We ROLLED out of that restaurant totally pleased. Didn't eat the rest of the day. Will definitely return.
