Myself and my co-hound will be visiting SF for a week in early June. Neither of us have ever visited the city, and are interested in experiencing things that are unique to the area, tasty, and fun. We are open to all sorts of cuisines, but do not wish to break the bank for too many meals (i.e. we've opted to save Elisabeth Daniel, Gary Danko for future visits).
We have reservations at Chez Panisse already, but it is the only "locked" option. Here is a list of the other places I think we will go (in no specific order): Louie's California Chinese Cuisine, Zuni Cafe, Tadich Grill, Slanted Door, afternoon tea at Fairmont, late night drink/appetizer at Fifth Floor, Dottie's True Blue Cafe, El Farolito.
Would appreciate any other "can't miss" recommendations, as well as ideas for what not to miss on the menus of the aforementioned. I'm craving caesar salad right now, and can almost taste how wonderful the one at Zuni will be!
Thanks in advance!
