First I will apologize that, while I generally have a good handle on a city's geography, Philly seems to have escaped me. So please bear with me if I make any egregious errors.
I am going to a show in S. Philly tomorrow with friends, leaving very early so as to beat the traffic - the traffic is an important thing to keep in mind, as I would like to stay in the approximate vicnity of the venue for this showcase and not get a recommend on the other side of town, no matter how great it might be. We will be in the vicinity of Broad/Passyunk and would really prefer to stay there.
I don't need fancy. Just good, and preferably cheapish, and preferably not touristy. Diner, italian (doh), just a good local neighborhood joint, sit down as opposed to take out. Also, if there is any kind of local coffee place (not starbucks) where one can sit and linger for an hour or two, that recommendation would be very much appreciated.
thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.
