NY Magazine Toasts City Kitchen at Times Sq. ( similar to Gotham but smaller)

foodwhisperer | Mar 4, 201508:47 PM

Went to a launch party NY Magazine did for a new "food court" City Kitchen.
It is much like Gotham Eats.
I didn't take photos, my camera was non-functional. Tomorrow City Kitchen officially opens. Each restaurant has a "stall" ( like Gotham).
I remember most of the vendors. If I leave any out I'm sorry.
Whitman's - had great burgers and pickles.. they have a location on E 9th St
Wooly's- had nice shaved ice with cool toppings
Sigmunds- had NY Soft Pretzels
Luke's Lobster- served lobster rolls ( delicious) and crab rolls
Azuki- served creative and tasty sushi rolls
Dough- had a choice of about 5 flavors of iced doughnuts , and when they open they offer coffee also.
Gabriela's- served various tacos , they were real good. They will also have rotisserie chicken
lLiLi Box- has falafel, shwarma. The duck Shwarma is good
Kare Obi- has good ramen, some bowl dishes

NY magazine set up a bar with great cucumber vodka gimlets. and more.

The location is great. It's right on 44th and 8th Ave. Right across from Shake Shack. If you're going to a Broadway Show and have limited time to eat, City Kitchen has good places to grab a bite. I'm real happy about this new Eating Spot.
Grand Opening Tomorrow.

Luke's Lobster Upper West Side,
Luke's Lobster Upper East Side,
Luke's Lobster Midtown East,
