My sister wants to take me out for my 40th birthday in April; we're both from Boston originally but now living elsewhere. I'm looking for really great modern or at least authentic Italian cooking--for example, if you took a hot Tuscan chef and plopped him/her in Boston, and provided great seasonal and regional (i.e., New England) ingredients. Nothing too precious, or for tourists, or red-sauce, but expensive is OK (I'm told). Is that too tall an order? Thanks!
