Damn, had three excellent meals in Cannon Beach this week. Stayed at the Stephanie Inn, so had dinner there the first night. The menu changes every night; we had excellent mahi mahi, excellent tomato soup, pretty good bananas foster for dessert.
For the next night, the restaurant staff at the Stephanie Inn directed us to the Bistro. Someone else on the board dissed this place, describing it as -- among other things -- cramped. They must be smoking crack. Bistro had plenty of space. And excellent salmon in a vermouth reduction. Didn't check out the desserts.
The third stop was a moderately priced lunch at Ecola Seafood, way downscale atmosphere, great salmon and hot-smoked salmon (i.e. not cured, like lox.)
