I will be in town for a day or two at the end of next week. The last time I was in new York, ( 4 yeras ago)I experienced a very good Northern Italian meal at a place that I can not recall. It was located on a street that ran into Broadway, about 3 or 4 blocks south of the street with all the theaters. ( 42nd ?? )It was about 9pm and the place was empty except for myself and the owner and his friends. However, it was fully staffed. Inquiring about this, the waiter told me it was usually empty until the theaters let out and then would be jammed. At any rate he went on to say that the owner was from Northern Italy and the specialties were Northern Italian. My wife and I had a chicken dish that was subperb along with a great reasonably priced wine from the region of the Tyrol mountains. Any help to find such a place again would be appreciated.
