North Atlanta - Crabapple

Milt | Apr 25, 200309:55 PM

Tonight was our fourth time to decide to eat at Silos Grill on Crabapple Road. On our first attempt, they were closed for a week of vacation. On our second attempt they were booked up, and suggested that we make reservations next time. On our third attempt they were closed because of a water main break. Tonight we arrived promptly, with reservations which we made last Monday, and had a wonderful dinner.

The house salad (with bleu cheese) was the best we have had in a long time. Service was superb - pleasant and attentive, without hovering or being overbearing. That is a fine line which many cannot walk. We ordered sesame encrusted salmon and the crab cake entree. Both were very good. The vegetable selection was most impressive. Most entrees came with a choice of two, which included various potato offerings, cheese grits, beets, braised red cabbage, slaw, flipped corn (whatever that is), broccoli and a couple of others that I can't remember. An excellent piece of carrot cake topped off the meal.
