Noodle Bar in Shanghai?

JT | Feb 26, 2006 11:47 AM

Can anyone tell me how to find this place?

A couple months back, one or more of the English-language lifestyle magazines [That's Shanghai, SH, City Weekend, etc.] had a review of a "noodle bar" in Shanghai. It was a place that specialized in noodles, and could make dao xiao mian [knife-cut noodles], la mian [pulled noodles], etc. The restaurant also claimed to be be able to make a noodle as many meters long as you are old [I forget what that was called -- it's made by whipping it through the air like a lariat, I think].

The place was new -- recently opened by a businessman who returned from a trip to Xi'an or somesuch.

Only problem is I can't remember any contact information for this place. At all. If anyone could provide it's name, phone number, address, [preferably with characters] or any of the above, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

JT
