Had a great meal at Nonna last night on 85th and Columbus (formerly Avenue and 520). We were greeted by an extremely friendly, if even over-zeolous general manager who thoroughly explained the menu. He seems very excited about hte place. Service was friendly and warm, a little clumsy - but nothing major considering they have only been open 2 weeks.

They have a wonderful selection of antipasto. I sampled some cherry peppers stuffed with prosciutto and provolone, grilled octopus and arancini. All were very good and reasonably priced $4-$6. Then some spaghetti carbonara and porketta. The porketta came with amazing polenta fries that were crisp on the outside but wonderfully creamy inside. Instead of desert, I had a cheese plate that was really well done. Wine list is reasonable and interesting, and deserts including a large tiramisu in a martini glass looked terrific.

I am anxious to go back as there is a lot on the menu I would like to try again. All in all a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
