Do you find yourself browsing through food blogs throughout your day? Do you read restaurant menus to find patterns of what’s hot in today’s top kitchens? Tell us your favorite food trend for one, or all 10 trend categories mentioned below. Ideally, these trends would be big in 2014, but if it’s a trend of 2013 that’s really picked up speed in 2014, feel free to throw them into the nomination ring. When you suggestion your favorite trend(s), please be sure to include the following:
-Name trend category for nominated trend
-Name/topic of trend
-If you see that your favorite trend has already been recommended, please use the recommend heart button to give an additional nomination nod for that particular trend.
-Optional: share a line or two of why the trend(s) deserves to be considered the best trend for each specific list. Feel free to share a link to an example of the trend.
Through Sunday, December 7, you’ll have the opportunity to share your nominations on this board thread and then from your suggestions, we’ll build our voting polls. If we do not receive enough recommendations for a particular category, CHOW’s editorial team will create a list of hand-picked nominations.
For the full breakdown of all Best Of 2014 categories, check out our announcement post here: http://www.chow.com/food-news/157378/...
We want as many Chowhound suggestions as possible, so please share your nominations - we can’t wait to hear about your favorite food trend of the year. Cheers -- let the nominating begin!
