Noi's Thai Kitchen - Asheville - Anyone tried it?

NickDakota | Oct 4, 200507:42 PM

Has anyone had any experience with Noi's Thai Kitchen in Asheville. It's on Merrimon Ave heading away from downtown. They have a pretty nice menu and the waitstaff/proprietor was quite friendly. I had the Bangkok fresh rolls which although advertised as with shrimp, contained none (she took a dollar off the bill), and Gagn Kiew Wan (Green curry with coconut milk, peas, green beans, celery, zucchini carrots, sweet basil and bell peppers with your choice of chicken, beef or tofu). The curry was a little thin for my preferences, but the flavor was spot on.
My only complaint would be that while I was looking for a quick, easy, possibly take out dinner, the price difference between lunch and dinner was a bit peculiar. Lunch curry - 6.50, Dinner - 11.99! I would definitely return if I was in town for lunch, but I'm a little apprehensive to spend nearly twenty bucks on what is pretty much a take out joint with tables. Oh well, everyone has to eat lunch.
I'd be curious to hear any other opinions.
