Two nights in Boston: romantic get away, need help

Dogmom | Dec 3, 2005 05:08 PM

I'm going with my husband for two nights (Sat/Sun) staying at the Fairmont Copley Plaza. We only live an hour outside Boston, but this is the "get away from child/dogs" weekend. I'm so out of the food scene I'm completely lost as where to eat. Would like at least one nice, over the top meal, not sure if we need two. The bad news is since I'll be visibly pregnant I really can't be splitting a bottle of wine so the wine list isn't a huge factor. Although my husband getting a good martini would be a decent plus.

Places we've been I'm considering:
L'Espalier, The Federalist, No. 9 Park (Although the mere site of No 9's pear martini that I couldn't indulge in would move me to tears, but the prune gnocci might make up for it.)

Places we haven't been that I hear I should go:
Hammersley's Bistro, Aujourd'hui, Icarus, oh yeah, I guess we've never been to Radius.

I hear the Oak Room has nice steaks, and it is in the hotel. I would consider Clio, but Sushi is out of the picture. Greatly appreciate any suggestions.
