Nice dinner in Sunset Park (Chinese)

Nancy | May 15, 2006 10:04 PM

My parents are coming up for my dad's birthday, and I'd like to go for a somewhat-niceish dinner. I was thinking Wu Liang Ye in Manhattan (48th St) because I already know they like it and it has a relatively nice atmosphere and incredibly cordial staff, and Flushing is too far from my new Prospect Heights home. But now I'm wondering if Sunset Park would have viable options?

My dad likes all types of Chinese although spicy is preferred, he loves Szechuan, or any place with some Taiwanese specialties would be a treat. I saw an earlier post about Diamond on Eight at 61st street which sounded delicious as well, he loves seafood and it seems to be their strength (has anyone else tried it yet?).

Anyway, I'm perfectly happy with Wu Liang Ye if nothing in SP works. It's his 60th so you know, I don't want to take him to a noodle shop. Oh, and if you happen to have phone numbers (or exact addresses so I can confirm the number online) I'd appreciate it!
