Nice addition to New Rochelle Main Street

Pat Hammond | Mar 22, 2008 11:55 AM

There's new wine bar called the Gnarly Vine, with what seems to me to be a good selection of wine and port. They have nibbles like spiced olives, and for something a bit more substantial, a variety of fajitas, The focus is the wine. They have clams and oysters on the half shell, too. The guy who owns it once owned a wine shop in Pelham, so he should know his stuff. It's on the left a few doors before Lawton, traveling toward North Ave./Larchmont. The facade is eye catching in that stretch, made from raw, dark lumber. It's small and nice inside.
