Niboshi, now what?

I recently picked up a pound of niboshi(dried baby sardines)and made a great, very simple dashi, by simmering the fish in water for 10 mins. After I strained the broth I was left with about 2oz of the still intact sardines. Before I threw them out, I tasted one. Wow! It was so good I ate them all. Question; Are there any recipes using the discarded niboshi?
