Ngoc Thuy in Eden Center - Report

Steve | Jul 31, 201801:00 PM

Nogc Thuy changed their menu very recently. Used to be only halfway translated. Now every item has an English description, though accuracy is far from guaranteed. Also, I noticed that some menu items are no longer there, presumably slow movers that appeal to fewer people.

We ordered one dish form the old menu, basically a stir fried goat - but with the addition of chili peppers. This was a nicely presented dish with a gorgeous flavor and the added chili peppers are essential to making it robust in flavor.

We also ordered fried anchovies, and these came out super hot and crispy with a couple of dipping sauces.

Finally, we had a salad from their previous menu, described as being either 'fit for a king', or maybe even their 'miscellaneous salad', but this had fewer different ingredients. It was a small mountain of shrimp and shredded vegetables.

This is the kind of hidden place in back of the Saigon East hallway that is worth exploring.
