Never have I been moved to post a review, but I had the most wonderful meal at Abacrombie Fine Food in Baltimore last night. We ordered from their prix fixe menu and were rewarded with perfectly cooked steaks (one medium well, the other medium rare -- both arriving at the same time) and vegetables that would make your mother cry with envy. This was straight-forward cooking at its finest. No tiny fried garnishes or truffles mined by blind monkeys from 2 miles below the earth's surface here! Jesse Sandlin and staff are consummate professionals and their kitchen skills show it. Dining room service was calm, pleasant and attentive prior to a 7:30 pm performance at the Meyerhoff. We will definitely be back to try their spring menu! Baltimore foodies rejoice!
