Lots of new folks are coming in, and I wanted to say a quick welcome to everyone. I wish I could take time to personally thank newcomers who've left great chowhoundish postings, but there aren't enough hours in a day. Hopefully some of our veterans will extend paws of welcome, but in any case, please just chime into discussions. The more, the chowier.

You may have noticed that we get well over 1000 postings/day. It's impossible to keep up with them all. If you were to read every single one, cull the best tips, weigh all the consensus opinions, look up address/phone/maps/directions for each place, and organize it into a sleek'd be wasting your time, because we already do exactly that for you.
