More help needed on my Saturday night South Philly Dinner

Hi all: At Carole's suggestion I call Laurett's Grille and spoke with Joe. He says he's more Italian/MEDITARREAN with lots of fish and my friends are true vegetarians - no meat or fish - so that will not be best choice. L'Angelo's might be too nisy and a bit too pricey.

Again, I'm looking for a place which is true South Philly Italian (as it was in the 60s) but with a few meatless dishes to choose from and kid friendly (we will have a 7 1/2 year old) and quiet enough to talk.

Someone mentioned Marra's and they will take reservations. Other option is Dante & Luigi's where they have a Marinara sauce to go on pasta's.

I'm leaning towards Marra's cause they have pasta's as well as great spinach and garlic as well as a Pizza we could do as appetizer. And I haven't been to Dante & luigi's so don't know if things changed.

Neither is BYOB.

Anyone been to D&L lately? Any thoughts? BTW, Marra's got great review in the PW (New name for Philly Weekly) today.
