Nathan's Hot Dogs in Nashua

PutneySwope | May 18, 2008 03:05 PM

I have eaten Nathan’s Hot Dogs ever since 1959 when Nathan’s first branch outside of Coney Island opened in Oceanside, LI. (

Two weeks ago Bruster’s Ice Cream stand on Amherst Street in Nashua changed their sign to announce they were serving Nathan’s Hot Dogs.

We were finally able to eat there today. I’m happy to report that the hot dogs were nicely grilled and tasted pretty much what I remembered. They put the sauerkraut and mustard (Nathan’s Brown or French’s Yellow) on the hot dog, but you could always ask for more.

The French Fries were not the same irregularly shaped fries I remember from my youth but they weren’t bad either.

They also had chili and cheese dogs, but there is only one kind of Nathan’s Hot dog, IMHO. They also had deals – one dog, fries, and a drink, etc.

I would definitely go back for more.
