So, I was chatting with my mom today and as usual, the subject veered to food (chinese, it's always chinese). Anyway, she mentioned that she and my father went to a new place in Rockville, near the chinese grocery store (Mei Xin, which I *think* is near the post office). She was all excited and said it was Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao from Shanghai, but the chef is from Taiwan. I got all excited because I love the Flushing, NY branch.
Anyway, they were very happy with their meal but my father was a bit disappointed in the dessert offerings. He had his heart set on that sweet tapioca soup, which they didn't have. Instead, he settled for some kind of sweet rice thing. Anyway, my mom was rolling her eyes at this and the conversation veered off to his sweet tooth. I couldn't get any more details about the meal.
Google doesn't reveal a location. Any hounds try it? If this is like the Flushing branch, it's going to have great soup dumplings and noodle soups. Some of the cold dishes are fine, but not stellar.
