The Naked Lounge Coffee House | Midtown Sacramento

Melanie Wong | Jun 7, 201507:54 PM     6

With yesterday's scorcher in Sacramento, staying cool and hydrated was first and foremost. I had a chance to check out the original location of The Naked Lounge Coffee House (a refurbished Victorian) and only had eyes for the iced selections.

I tried the Kerouac - "The martini of espresso drinks. Four shots of espresso, a touch of condensed milk, a splash of cream, and shaken over ice: served chilled", $5. Frankly, I was a little scared of it. At 5pm, who knew what that amount of caffeine could do?

Besides the listed ingredients, the overly candied sweetness suggested that this had additional sugar besides the sweetened condensed milk. Still, it was an excellent pick-me-up on an exhausting day.

I couldn't really get a sense of underlying beans. What do 'hounds think of Naked Lounge's roasts?
