Mullins and Florence areas HELP!!!

Ace Mclean | Mar 11, 2005 01:48 PM

Several years ago, I traveled to Florence and nearby Mullins SC for business, spending many weeks there. There were 2 places that stick out for me, as I was disapointed in the BBQ. The problem is that I can't remember the names - maybe someone can help?

One place was in Mullins, a lunch buffet (maybe dinner also). It was in a old converted house, quite busy with locals. The had mac'n'cheese, fried chicken, green and pinto beans, and of course, sweet tea. Oh, it was soo good. They had a goofy parot in the main dining room. Sound familiar?

Another was a tavern type place that had steak and seafood, and was a bit of a drive out of town. They had a model train that ran all around the bar and dining rooms along the wall up near the ceiling. That was the first time I had seen that, and the first time I had crab stuffed chicken breast. This place called it "Pee-Dee Chicken"

I'd love to recall the names of these restaurants, as I may be in that area again later this year.
