Does Philadelphia have them, or is this wonder confined to New Orleans?

Of Sicilian origin in NO, the roll is round, but flat; somewhat like a brioche--soft, but not at all like white bread. Meats can probably vary--mortadella, salami, ham, cheese. The killer ingredient is olive salad. The taste blew my mind, and begged for more.

Lead me to 'em...
