OK, so I'm usually a B.T. McElrath / Legacy Truffles / Michel Cluizel kind o' gal. But I was at Regina's Candies the other day, buying my beloved husband a pound of his favorite coconut clusters, so I picked up a few chocolate-box hearts for my family.
Oddly enough, I ended up with one too many (however did that happen???). I just opened it to sample a chocolate, not expecting that much, but this stuff is great! I have now eaten most of the box (a small one, luckily).
Frankly, I'm surprised at how good they are - I was expecting something a little lower than Fanny Farmer's or Abdallah's chocolates. But I think they're quite a bit better. (I also have a box of Abdallah's, so I've done a side-to-side comparison. Oh, the lengths I go to for the sake of science!)
Just thought that any last-minute VD shoppers within the viscinity of Regina's might want to know that the chocolates are really good! And the St. Paul store is really charming - a throwback to earlier times.

P.P.S. OK, now I've eaten the entire box. Time to go to the gym...
P.P.P.S. The Honey Nougat in Dark Chocolate was my favorite, with the Coconut Ting-A-Ling a close second.
