MSP: LUNCH AT PONCHO VILLA

MIKELOCK34 | Mar 10, 2008 07:11 AM

We had lunch at Poncho Villa this past Saturday. Our server Maria Cecilia was very pleasant and very attentive. They were having trouble with their credit card machine and computer which was handled well by the staff. Our server let us know about their not being able to take credit cards for lunch before we ordered. The house margaritas were pretty good. They are $4.25 each. Happy hour is listed for every weekday with half price drinks. Our appetizer was a sopa which was very good. Our entrees were chile rellenos. One with tongue, one carnitas. We enjoyed both. The refried beans and rice sides were good. The chips and salsa were good. They use thick chips, we prefer thin, but they were fresh and not greasy at all. We tried their horchata which was thinner than most that we have tried, but the flavor was okay. Parking can be tough during the day there, but you can find parking one block over on the street if needed.
