I had a Happenings coupon for this place, which is on Nicollet and not far from Eat Street. I took my chowhound partner (my 18 year old sister who used to like tongue when she was 15 months!) We went around three for a late lunch and were the only ones there. It was good and cheap, and had lots of awards from CityPages, which I always think is a good sign.
I had the chicken curry, which was made with a tomato base with chicken off the bone. It was fantastic. It had chunks of vegetables in it, and was served on a huge bed of yellow rice. My sister had the Slavoki platter (I probably spelled that wrong-slices of gyro meat) with tabouli and hummus. I am not a tabouli fan, but she loved it. The hummus was really creamy-I wished the pita bread was the ones from Holy Land, but you don't get everything you want. Huge portions-I ate, brought some home, my fiancee ate some of it, and there was still some left at ten for a snack. It kept expanding like the loaves and fishes! With tax, tip, coupon, and two diet cokes it was less than twenty dollars for two. Anyone else try something there that you liked?
