MPW is dead!

Hallie | Oct 24, 200102:42 PM     6

...before anyone gets too excited, I'm speaking of his namesake chain of restaurants attached to Forte hotels and not the tempermental chef we all love to hate.

I dined at MPW in Hampstead twice - the food was pretty good both times but the service was shockingly and unapologetically bad.

Apparently when Forte was taken over by Holiday Inn, certain demands were made as to the 'accesibility' of the menu. In otherwords, management wanted chicken nuggets and 'minute' steak. Predicatably, MPW threw a fit and abandoned ship. The net result is now a depressingly dull crappy hotel restaurant gracing Haverstock Hill where a similarly depressingly dull crappy hotel restaurant once lived not 18 months earlier.

Come back MPW, all is forgiven.
