Motorcycle trip from NY to Miami via I-95, where to eat?

HaChayalBoded | Jan 17, 2010 05:35 AM

I have seen a few road trips threads but was unable to reply to them for some reason.

We'll be leaving NYC and riding down, we will stop for the first meal in MD. I'd like to have the next meal approximately 500 south of that, which would be just shy of Savannah. This stop will more likely than not be late into the evening.

Is there anything [relatively] cheap and decent in or around Savannah or within 100 miles N or S of it?

I will have some portable camping cookware and a stove so even picking up not ready to eat food at a supermarket would be alright by me as I will be stopping at a motel that evening anyway. Which is what I normally do, however I would like this to be comfortable for my friend(s) who will be joining me.

I realize that it would probably be easier, simpler and cheaper to bring some ready to eat foods like deli meat and condiments in a soft cooler, but this will be a long trip and after a full day in the saddle we may crave something more filling.

Oh, this trip will be during late March just before passover.
