My mother is visiting which is rare. She is in poor health. I want to take her to a nice meal. She is not a fan of anything super exotic. Something like a nice afternoon tea would be perfect. The place has to be cozy, not too snooty ( she gets intimidated) and food has to be obviously yummy. We are in Westwood, so anything in Santa Monica, culver city, beverly hills, west la, would be ideal. I looked at some tea places. Ideally price range could go up to $30-$40 per person. Peninsula is $60 per person, so outside our price range and probably too fancy. Chado has terrible reviews. A breakfast/brunch could also work but I never go out for those meals so don't know which places are good. Thanks!
