After a semester in Boston, I'm finally home again and got a chance to go back to Mo's on Grant in North Beach. I had an alpine burger, which is sauteed mushrooms with gruyere cheese, and it was as always excellent. Perfectly medium rare, amazingly juicy. I maintain that Mo's alpine burger is the best burger I have EVER had, better than any of the other places here or in Boston. I'm glad to see the place hasn't slipped while I've been gone. I'd also have to say that the original shop on Grant is a lot better than the newer one they opened at Yerba Buena... for some reason the burgers there are just very ordinary to me. What does everyone else think? I don't think I've ever read about Mo's on here.
