Recently went to Morimoto...amazing space, the tasting menu was delicious though EXACTLY the same as Nobu's. The people who ordered the regular menu items were dissapointed. $30 for a basic peasant type seafood dish? Pretty lame. It is insanely expensive and although the room is very cool it is very sterile.
Been to Nobu in NYC and the difference in service and atmosphere is extreme, better at Nobu for sure....Just wondering if anyone has had the same feeling?
I'm beginning to wonder if these Starr restaurants are just stupid gimmicks with overpriced food. In fact, I've gone beyond wondering this. At first I was happy that Philly was getting all these new places but now I feel it's becoming a bit Disneyland-like. And he's coming to NYC with Morimoto and another one....as if NYC needs him.
