Morimoto Dinner For Japan

Philly Ray | Apr 27, 2011 06:52 PM

I received this notice from American Express. Not sure if you have to be an AMEX cardholder to be able to attend, but I thought I'd pass it along. Price is $300pp ($400pp for the private dining room).

Iron Chef Morimoto and Starr Restaurants are raising money for Japan. On June 7th, join us for a meaningful and mouthwatering event at Philadelphia’s Morimoto restaurant. The evening will start with hors d’oeuvres, champagne and a live cooking demonstration – Chef Morimoto will showcase his incredible knife skills while prepping a 200 pound tuna. Guests will then enjoy a special Omakase tasting menu, with beverage pairings, designed by the Iron Chef. Philadelphia’s historic Freeman’s Auction House will join the relief efforts by facilitating a live auction, where exclusive events (like a dinner for 10 cooked by Morimoto in the lucky winner’s home) will be on offer.

In addition to the Main Dining Room, the Private Dining Room is available for larger parties. Guests here will receive additional courses, as well as meet-and-greet time with Chef Morimoto.

All proceeds will be donated to the Philadelphia-Japan Disaster Relief Fund. Each guest who purchases during the presale will receive a limited edition signed t-shirt.
