It is morel mushroom season here in Indiana. The natives here like to fry them after dipping in eggwash and rolling in crumbs. One person in my office says that she uses onion ring mix and deep fries them and likes catsup with them, not my thing for sure.
Does anyone have a favorite recipe to share? We had them last night in a recipe from Highlands Bar in Grill in Birmingham, AL. It was baked cheese grits with an elevated beurre blanc sauce and garnished with sauted morels and country ham. It was divine. Complex in textures and flavors.
