not far form the pier, i was lucky enough to ernjoy a weorking lunch at this tavern. it was a long hard-working sweaty day, so beer (or five) would have been nliss, but it was not to be. the iced tea, however, was much better than average.

the tomato basil soup was good, but not great. the thai crab soup, however, was excellent, and i regretted not ordering it. this place kjnows its curry. british food would be a bland mess if they never had colonized india. an order of fish and cips passing by looked incredible and very generous.

my ground beef turnover with gravy was excellent, spiced with a complex curry inside, surrounded by flaky pastry, and covered in dark beef gravy. the steamed veggies on the side were cooked well but bland.
