A couple weekends ago, the heat of a 100-degree afternoon in Silicon Valley sent me in search of something ice cold. Anything.

Luckily The Moo Bar was just down the street serving up Happiness to escape Real Life.

What makes The Moo Bar different from other boba tea spots? For one, it has proprietary names for its drink blends. The other thing is cotton candy as a topping. And it has pineapple Dole whip on the menu.

No carny acts for me this time, instead I ordered "Make Me Blush", passion-guava green tea with honey boba, medium-sweet. Intense fruit flavors and this actually tasted like green tea and not watered down. Very good, fresh and chewy boba too.

The Moo Bar serves Marianne's ice cream and also has a freezer case of Brick macaron-gelato sandwiches from SoCal that are starting to appear at local Korean eateries.
