Cruisin' the highway is paying off. Another worthwhile stopping off point is the A-1 BBQ and Restaurant situated in a smallish strip mall. The actual establishment is so small that the oil drum smokers are situated behind a secure chicken wire pen in the parking lot. And those preview whiffs of smoke are really great for getting your appetite going. The BBQ is excellant--tender meatey ribs and chicken smothered in an habituating spicy sweet sauce.
Small sides of BBQ beans and spud salad are above average. Also offered are polish suasage, hot links, and tri-tip. Good selection of beers including Guinness.
