Mogador in the east village

After eating here several times prior (and having great meals to boot) last night's dinner was nothing short of disappointment and disgust. The service was amazingly slow (except of course when it came time to present the check and turn the table). The lamb was chewy and fattier than it has been during past meals. The portion sizes (particularly that of the cous cous) were significantly smaller than in the past. This was most disappointing considering the relatively cheap cost of the cous cous in the first place.

I think the worst part of the meal, however, came when myself and my guests watched as a server took a small dish of a table's USED hot sauce and spooned it into another half filled dish. That dish was then served to another table. The first time we saw this, we assumed it was a fluke. However, it continued for the entire evening. If they are willing to "recycle" hot sauce so openly, I can only imagine what they are doing behind the scenes.
