During a trip to the Dominican, I had the pleasure of having a local dish, which I have been craving recently. Mofongo is a dish comprised of crushed plantains and fried pork skin served in a bowl and goes great with a beer (I had a wonderful Dominican beer, El Presidente, which I have heard is imported to the US). Anyhow, there are different varieties, for example substituting Yuca for the plantains.
I am asking if anyone has found a place serving something remotely similar. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!
