mo ran gak in sunnyvale

david | Apr 22, 2002 06:27 PM

can't ask for auggestions without giving one- mo ran gak in sunnyvale is a great north korean restaurant. it specializes in soups, especially nang myun (cold chewy buckwheat noodles, perfect for summer) and galbi tang (short rib soup). i believe this is a korean restaurant which expanded to la and now to the south bay. it even has a heated floor to sit on (don't see that too often in us). don't know the exact location, but it's on el camino behind a korean seafood restaurant which looks like it took over an old taco bell (a little past the tofu house shopping center on the other side of the street). to make things even more complicated, it's tucked in a corner, with only a korean sign, but the sign is bright green with white lettering. i hope some people get to this place (one restaurant i would put on par with la).
