Mmmm. Smoked turkey at the Romanian.

Last night I had some smoked turkey from the Romanian Kosher Sausage Company on Clark and Touhy. Breast meat was moist, smoky, and tender. Leg was for picking up whole and tearing into like a medeival king, connotations of raucous palace feasts only enhancing the rich and satisfying experience of tasting the intensely flavorful dark meat. Save yourself some work and consider this for your thansksgiving meal.

They also have great garlicky kosher salami. I had one hanging from a nail in my dorm room in college. Nothing like coming home from a night of drinking and munching away on a chunk cut off with a swiss army knife. You have to be careful what you hang it over though. Gravity sure works its effect on the grease inside.
