There doesn't seem that much about it here so wanted to chime in that we had a lovely evening at Mission on 4th recently. We basically went because it is nearish by on a stormy night, takes reservations and because it has candles on every table.... I was a little worried these were not the best criteria, especially as we were going with friends - but hooray we all had a fabulous evening.
Exceptionally pleasant and knowledgeable service from servers and sommelier. Had the 6 course meat tasting menu but the vegetables were as just as important. 3 of six dishes were terrific (mussels, cauliflower and beef) with everything on the plate contributing to the whole experience. Shrimp were tasty but a little fussy and the mushrooms were a split vote (too nori-fishy for me, but hubby's favourite). I would go back even just for the cauliflower/brassica dish - and pretty sure the kids would eat broccoli if I could cook it like that. Coffee bad. The extras were thoughtful (distance runner got extra bread with his meal and piggy me begged pathetically and was rewarded with an extra "oreo").
