I guess I stepped down as Chownews editor about a year ago? Due to various reasons of severe busy-ness (I will be a full-fledge PhD candidate within a few weeks! Er, yay, I guess.) and burn-out and all that, I haven't really looked at Chowhound in a year.
What's newly awesome from the last year?
When I checked out, I guess Green City was still the king of Shanghai, Sea Harbour still the king of dim sum, Din Tai Fung still the soup dumpling champion, Tacos Baja Ensenada still the greatest fish tacos north of the border. Mario's Peruvian still the happiest Peruvian, etc. etc. This is probably a hopeless task.
