Why no mint chocolate???

Anne H | Jun 10, 2006 06:21 PM

Partly inspired by postings on this board, and partly by my love of chocolate, I've been perusing expensive chocolate bars in a variety of stores-- Whole Foods, TJ's, the Trotter's carryout store, a high end Belgian chocolate store, other high end type places-- and I have noted that none of them have chocolate mints.

What I am looking for is something like a high end version of After Eight Mints, you know, chocolate surrounding creamy white mint. The Lindt chocolate mint balls are very good, in my opinion, but I was thinking of taste-testing some other chocolate mints, purely in the interest of science, of course. And there aren't any! There's chocolate with pepper, ginger, and lots of other stuff. Anybody have an explanation?? Or a suggestion of where to find what I am looking for?
