had dinner there last night, where i had the east/west oysters for appetizer and the soft shell crab special. the oysters were okay. it came with lobster crackers and also this pureed red onion garnish with two lemons. tasted okay. i'm not an oyster connoisseur, so i can't really say whether they were great or not. i know the east were peconic oysters from long island. the soft shell crab was a small-ish serving, imo. three pieces of them that were fried. served on top of watercress, which was good. and to top it off, there was this apple/and something else garnish on the side, that i thought made the dish too busy. didn't really add anythign to my dish, i thought. i also had a glass of the bonny doon riesling for $6. they raised their price $1-- someone had mentioned this in an earlier report on minnow. my date had a glass of sparkling champagne for $8 and fish cakes for appetizer and grileld rare tuna which i had several pieces of for entree. it was good. the place was not too tight-- i thought it was okay. the waitresses were pretty professional. afterwards, went to uncle louie g's for a sugar cone with black forest cake ice cream. tastes good.
