I went to the Heartland Restaurant (specializing in Midwestern foods) last evening. It was pleasurable, but I'm not sure that I want to go again. Beautiful menu - very creative - nicely presented - but not as great as I would have wished.
But one thing bothered me. One menu item was Minnesota wild boar. I've never heard of Minnesota wild boar. I grew up in northern Minnesota with a cabin in the woods and no one ever told me about or talked about wild boar. I hear they can be dangerous.
I asked the waitress about it and she said she'd ask the cook. She never did come back with an answer and I was too immersed in conversation to notice until today.
Even Jeremy Igger's review this week of the restaurant talked about the Minnesota wild boar.
Does anyone know about this?
